70.e. Matthew 5:18

Matthew 5:18  For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished.

Luke 21:24  They will fall by the edge of the sword and be led captive among all nations, and Jerusalem will be trampled underfoot by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

Ezekiel 44:2  And the LORD said to me, “This gate shall remain shut; it shall not be opened, and no one shall enter by it, for the LORD, the God of Israel, has entered by it. Therefore it shall remain shut.

Jesus’ words in Luke 21:33 affirm that God’s Word endures. Though often challenged, Scripture and its promises remain.

Matthew 5:18 teaches that every detail of God’s law will be fulfilled, down to the smallest mark.

Attempts to disprove Scripture have failed. Julian the Apostate tried to overturn Luke 21:24 by rebuilding the temple, but the effort collapsed, showing the futility of opposing prophecy.

Ezekiel foretold Jerusalem’s Eastern Gate would remain shut. Sealed in A.D. 1543, it remains closed as a witness to fulfilled prophecy.

Critics like Voltaire and Ingersoll predicted the Bible’s end, yet Scripture outlived them all.

Human skepticism fades, but God’s Word remains.

The Bible endures as a lasting testimony to God’s faithfulness: its prophecies are fulfilled, its critics pass away, and its message remains unbroken. (MacDonald)
