69.d. Psalm 141:3-4

 

Psalm 141:3-4  Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth;
keep watch over the door of my lips!
Do not let my heart incline to any evil,
to busy myself with wicked deeds
in company with men who work iniquity,
and let me not eat of their delicacies!

James 1:19-20.  Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God

Romans 8:13   For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

1 Coronthians 9:24-25  Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. Every athlete exercises self-control in all things.
