Matthew 24:3\u00a0 <\/span>3\u00a0<\/b>As he sat on\u00a0the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him\u00a0privately, saying, \u201cTell us,\u00a0when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your\u00a0coming and of\u00a0the end of the age?\u201d\u00a04\u00a0<\/b>And Jesus answered them,\u00a0\u201cSee that no one leads you astray.\u00a05\u00a0<\/b>For\u00a0many will come in my name, saying, \u2018I am\u00a0the Christ,\u2019 and they will lead many astray.\u00a06\u00a0<\/b>And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you\u00a0are not alarmed, for this\u00a0must take place, but the end is not yet.\u00a07\u00a0<\/b>For\u00a0nation will rise against nation, and\u00a0kingdom against kingdom, and there will be\u00a0famines and earthquakes in various places.\u00a08\u00a0<\/b>All these are but the beginning of\u00a0the birth pains.<\/p>\n

9\u00a0<\/b>\u201cThen\u00a0they will deliver you up\u00a0to tribulation and\u00a0put you to death, and\u00a0you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake.\u00a010\u00a0<\/b>And then many will fall away[a<\/span><\/a>]\u00a0and\u00a0betray one another and hate one another.\u00a011\u00a0<\/b>And many\u00a0false prophets will arise\u00a0and lead many astray.\u00a012\u00a0<\/b>And because lawlessness will be increased,\u00a0the love of many will grow cold.\u00a013\u00a0<\/b>But the one who endures to the end will be saved.\u00a014\u00a0<\/b>And this gospel of the kingdom\u00a0will be proclaimed throughout the whole world\u00a0as a testimony\u00a0to all nations, and\u00a0then the end will come.<\/p>\n

The Abomination of Desolation<\/b><\/p>\n

15\u00a0<\/b>\u201cSo when you see the abomination of desolation\u00a0spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in\u00a0the holy place (let the reader understand),\u00a016\u00a0<\/b>then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.\u00a017\u00a0<\/b>Let the one who is on\u00a0the housetop not go down to take what is in his house,\u00a018\u00a0<\/b>and let the one who is in the field not turn back to take his cloak.\u00a019\u00a0<\/b>And\u00a0alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days!\u00a020\u00a0<\/b>Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a Sabbath.\u00a021\u00a0<\/b>For then there will be\u00a0great tribulation,\u00a0such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be.\u00a022\u00a0<\/b>And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for\u00a0the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.\u00a023\u00a0<\/b>Then if anyone says to you, \u2018Look, here is the Christ!\u2019 or \u2018There he is!\u2019 do not believe it.\u00a024\u00a0<\/b>For\u00a0false christs and\u00a0false prophets will arise and\u00a0perform great signs and wonders,\u00a0so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.\u00a025\u00a0<\/b>See,\u00a0I have told you beforehand.\u00a026\u00a0<\/b>So, if they say to you, \u2018Look,\u00a0he is in the wilderness,\u2019 do not go out. If they say, \u2018Look, he is in the inner rooms,\u2019 do not believe it.\u00a027\u00a0<\/b>For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be\u00a0the coming of the Son of Man.\u00a028\u00a0<\/b>Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.<\/p>\n

The Coming of the Son of Man<\/b><\/p>\n

29\u00a0<\/b>\u201cImmediately after\u00a0the tribulation of those days\u00a0the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and\u00a0the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.\u00a030\u00a0<\/b>Then\u00a0will appear in heaven\u00a0the sign of the Son of Man, and then\u00a0all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and\u00a0they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven\u00a0with power and great glory.\u00a031\u00a0<\/b>And\u00a0he will send out his angels with a loud\u00a0trumpet call, and they will\u00a0gather\u00a0his elect from\u00a0the four winds,\u00a0from one end of heaven to the other.<\/p>\n

The Lesson of the Fig Tree<\/b><\/p>\n

32\u00a0<\/b>\u201cFrom the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near.\u00a033\u00a0<\/b>So also, when you see all these things, you know that he is near,\u00a0at the very gates.\u00a034\u00a0<\/b>Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.\u00a035\u00a0<\/b>Heaven and earth will pass away, but\u00a0my words will not pass away.<\/p>\n

Luke 17:20\u00a0 <\/span>The Coming of the Kingdom<\/p>\n

20\u00a0<\/b>Being asked by the Pharisees\u00a0when the kingdom of God would come, he answered them,\u00a0\u201cThe kingdom of God\u00a0is not coming in ways that can be observed,\u00a021\u00a0<\/b>nor\u00a0will they say, \u2018Look, here it is!\u2019 or \u2018There!\u2019 for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.\u201d[h<\/span><\/a>]<\/p>\n

22\u00a0<\/b>And he said to the disciples,\u00a0\u201cThe days are coming when you will desire\u00a0to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.\u00a023\u00a0<\/b>And they will say to you, \u2018Look, there!\u2019 or \u2018Look, here!\u2019 Do not go out or follow them.\u00a024\u00a0<\/b>For as the lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one side to the other, so will the Son of Man be\u00a0in his day.[i<\/span><\/a>]\u00a025\u00a0<\/b>But first\u00a0he must suffer many things and\u00a0be rejected by this generation.\u00a026\u00a0<\/b>Just as it was in the days of\u00a0Noah, so will it be in the days of the Son of Man.\u00a027\u00a0<\/b>They were eating and drinking and marrying and being given in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.\u00a028\u00a0<\/b>Likewise, just as it was in the days of\u00a0Lot\u2014they were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building,\u00a029\u00a0<\/b>but on the day when Lot went out from Sodom, fire and sulfur rained from heaven and destroyed them all\u2014\u00a030\u00a0<\/b>so will it be\u00a0on the day when the Son of Man is revealed.\u00a031\u00a0<\/b>On that day,\u00a0let the one who is on\u00a0the housetop, with his goods in the house, not come down to take them away, and likewise let the one who is in the field not turn back.\u00a032\u00a0<\/b>Remember Lot’s wife.\u00a033\u00a0<\/b>Whoever seeks to preserve his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life will\u00a0keep it.\u00a034\u00a0<\/b>I tell you, in that night there will be two in one bed. One will be taken and the other left.\u00a035\u00a0<\/b>There will be two women\u00a0grinding together. One will be taken and the other left.\u201d[j<\/span><\/a>]\u00a037\u00a0<\/b>And they said to him, \u201cWhere, Lord?\u201d He said to them,\u00a0\u201cWhere the corpse[k<\/span><\/a>]\u00a0is, there the vultures[l<\/span><\/a>]\u00a0will gather.\u201d<\/p>\n

Luke 21:34\u00a0 <\/span>34\u00a0<\/b>\u201cBut watch yourselves\u00a0lest\u00a0your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and\u00a0cares of this life, and\u00a0that day come upon you suddenly\u00a0like a trap.\u00a035\u00a0<\/b>For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth.\u00a036\u00a0<\/b>But\u00a0stay awake at all times,\u00a0praying that you may\u00a0have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and\u00a0to stand before the Son of Man.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

How bad does the chaos, evil, fear, and confusion in the wold have to get before the return of Jesus Christ?\u00a0 <\/span>Are we living in the last days? What will the end be like?\u00a0 <\/span>There are certain things we don\u2019t know, but we do know for certain, the end will be sudden and unexpected.\u00a0 <\/span>Most people will be unprepared.\u00a0 <\/span>Just as in the days of Noah, the catastrophic flood came and overtook the earth so will it be in the end.\u00a0 <\/span>Unprepared and unexpecting people will continue to either be defiant or ashamed.\u00a0 <\/span>Both will be on earth in the last days and will experience the wrath and anger of God first hand for their disbelief, defiance, and self-reliance.\u00a0 <\/span>These questions are all good questions but the key question is Are You Ready for the end to come?\u00a0 <\/span>Have you acknowledge sin in your life and believed in redemption, salvation, and forgiveness through Jesus Christ.\u00a0 <\/span>Has your heart, mind, and soul been changed by the indwelling Holy Spirit?\u00a0 <\/span>Have you been born again?\u00a0 <\/span>Born not of the flesh but of the Holy Spirit of God.\u00a0 <\/span>This is truly what happens when we repent of our sin, turn away from our sinful nature, and trust in, cling to, and rely on the grace, mercy, and love given to all who would believe in and through the work Jesus Christ did on the cross.\u00a0 <\/span>Be assured the end is close and your eternal destiny is in the balance based on the decision to run to Christ Jesus\u00a0 <\/span>and accept or to reject His offer of salvation, redemption, and forgiveness.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
