Nahum 1:6\u00a0 <\/span>Who can stand before his indignation? Who can endure the heat of his anger? His wrath is poured out like fire, and the rocks are broken into pieces by him<\/p>\n

Jeremiah 10:10<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0But the LORD is the true God; he is the living God and the everlasting King. At his wrath the earth quakes, and the nations cannot endure his indignation.<\/p>\n

Malachi 3:2<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0But who can endure the day of his coming, and who can stand when he appears? For he is like a refiner’s fire and like fullers’ soap.<\/p>\n

Lamentations 4:11<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0The LORD gave full vent to his wrath; he poured out his hot anger, and he kindled a fire in Zion that consumed its foundations.<\/p>\n

Revelation 16:1<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0Then I heard a loud voice from the temple telling the seven angels, \u201cGo and pour out on the earth the seven bowls of the wrath of God.\u201d<\/p>\n

John\u00a0 <\/span>3:36<\/b><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Human terms cannot give the full meaning of the infinite and sovereign God’s emotional experiences. As his love is infinitely incomprehensible, so are his displeasure, hate, anger, wrath, and vengeance. There is good reason indeed for the writer to the Hebrews to warn sinful people that it “is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. God provided a way for divine redemption\u2014repentance\u2014forgiveness\u2014salvation\u2014which turns His wrath away from the sinner. To reject that perfect plan of restoration is to reject God\u2019s love, mercy, grace, and favor and incur His righteous wrath. The judgment of God has serious eternal consequences for the unrepentant sinner.\u00a0 <\/span>The one who believes in the Son will not suffer God\u2019s wrath for his sin, because the Son took God\u2019s wrath upon Himself when He died in our place on the cross.\u00a0 <\/span>Those who do not believe in the Son, who do not receive Him as Savior, will be judged on the day of wrath.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
