“Therefore we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it.\u00a0For since the message declared by angels proved to be reliable, and every transgression or disobedience received a just retribution,\u00a0\u00a0how shall we escape if we neglect such a great salvation?”<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Psalms 26:12\u00a0\u00a0My foot stands on level ground<\/strong>; in the great assembly I will bless the LORD.<\/p>\n

Psalms 27:11\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Teach me your way, O LORD, and lead me on a level path<\/strong> because of my enemies.<\/p>\n

Psalms 40:2\u00a0\u00a0He drew me up from the pit of destruction<\/strong>, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure.<\/strong><\/p>\n

1 Samuel 2:9\u00a0\u00a0\u201cHe will guard the feet of his faithful ones,<\/strong> but the wicked shall be cut off in darkness, for not by might shall a man prevail.<\/p>\n

Proverbs 10:9\u00a0\u00a0Whoever walks in integrity walks securely,<\/strong> but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out.<\/p>\n

Psalms 26:7\u00a0\u00a0proclaiming thanksgiving aloud, and telling all your wondrous deeds.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Psalms 22:22-25\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0I will tell of your name to my brothers; in the midst of the congregation I will praise you:\u00a0\u00a0You who fear the LORD, praise him!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Psalms 107:32 \u00a0Let them extol him in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Psalms 111:1\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Praise the LORD! I will give thanks to the LORD with my whole heart, in the company of the upright,<\/strong> in the congregation.<\/p>\n

Three points interest me today. \u00a0First: It is God who sets our feet on the right path. \u00a0He will lead and guard us on this path if we choose to allow His leading and follow it wherever He purposes. \u00a0Second: Praising God should be an automatic reaction to all we see Him doing in our lives. \u00a0We need to be on the path He directs to be able to see His hand at work in our lives. \u00a0This direction comes from His word which speaks into our lives, convicting, confirming, leading, and encouraging us every moment. \u00a0God is not limited to just His word but will also use others to speak into our lives. \u00a0Everyday we can thank and praise Him for what He is teaching us, how He is leading us, how He blesses us, how He encourages us, how He loves us, how He places others in our life, how He intercedes before us, how He promises us steadfast love, mercy and grace, and how He has drawn us toward Him. \u00a0Third: Warnings are also listed. \u00a0Those who do not choose to follow Him will not have there feet on solid ground. \u00a0It may seem solid but in the end it is a slippery slope to destruction. They have no place to hide for they will be found out. \u00a0God knows all of our thoughts and sees every action we take and the intent of our heart. \u00a0Nothing is hidden from Him. \u00a0Narrow is the way to walking with and following God. \u00a0Wide is the path that leads to destruction. \u00a0Just because there are many people on this wide path should not give one bit of comfort to any soul that is on it. \u00a0Just because many others walk and talk the same path of unbelief does not make it the right. \u00a0God word is clear on this that “there is a way that seems right to man but in the end it leads to destruction” and again when it says With itching ears they seek out and listen to lies proclaiming there is no God and there is no judgement coming. \u00a0God’s word also says “they are condemned already because the did not believe and chose to believe a lie”. \u00a0To reject Him and His son, through whom we have salvation, is no small rejection and has everlasting consequences.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
