Joel 2:28 \u201cAnd it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions. Even on the male and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit. \u201cAnd I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and columns of smoke. The sun shall be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes. And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be those who escape, as the Lord has said, and among the survivors shall be those whom the Lord calls.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

There is so much here that relates to Jesus Christ, salvation, and end times.\u00a0 <\/span>I think what Peter was led to say in Acts captures the fullness of Joel today.\u00a0 <\/span>Act 2:17<\/b><\/span><\/a>-37<\/b><\/span>\u00a0\u201c\u2018And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams even on my male servants and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit, and they shall prophesy.\u00a0<\/span><\/a>\u00a0And I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke;\u00a0the sun shall be turned to darkness and the moon to blood, before the day of the Lord comes, the great and magnificent day.\u00a0And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.\u2019\u00a0\u201cMen of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with mighty works and wonders and signs that God did through him in your midst, as you yourselves know\u2014\u00a0this Jesus, delivered up according to the definite plan and foreknowledge of God, you crucified and killed by the hands of lawless men.\u00a0God raised him up, loosing the pangs of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it.\u00a0For David says concerning him, \u201c\u2018I saw the Lord always before me, for he is at my right hand that I may not be shaken;\u00a0therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced; my flesh also will dwell in hope.\u00a0For you will not abandon my soul to Hades, or let your Holy One see corruption.\u00a0You have made known to me the paths of life; you will make me full of gladness with your presence.\u2019\u00a0\u201cBrothers, I may say to you with confidence about the patriarch David that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.\u00a0Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that he would set one of his descendants on his throne,\u00a0he foresaw and spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that he was not abandoned to Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption.\u00a0This Jesus God raised up, and of that we all are witnesses.\u00a0Being therefore exalted at the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this that you yourselves are seeing and hearing.\u00a0For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he himself says, \u201c\u2018The Lord said to my Lord, \u201cSit at my right hand,\u00a0until I make your enemies your footstool.\u201d\u2019\u00a0Let all the house of Israel therefore know for certain that God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified.\u201d\u00a0Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, \u201cBrothers, what shall we do?\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
