Learning to wait is not an easy lesson in our culture.\u00a0 We want it and want it now.\u00a0 If we can’t have it now we get impatient, grumpy, or lack discipline to put distance between this thought of want vs need.\u00a0 We chase after that which is temporary and run past that which gives purpose to our souls.\u00a0 Take time to seek the purpose God has for each of us; being a servant, loving the unloved, giving generously, speaking boldly, waiting patiently, helping those in need.\u00a0 Listen, and you will hear Him speaking to your heart.\u00a0 Be the person who lives and shines the light and hope of Christ.<\/span><\/p>\n

Isaiah 60:22<\/span><\/p>\n

I am the Lord;<\/span><\/p>\n

in its time I will hasten it<\/span><\/p>\n

Habakkuk 2:3<\/span><\/p>\n

For still the vision awaits its appointed time;<\/span><\/p>\n

it hastens to the end\u2014it will not lie.<\/span><\/p>\n

If it seems slow, wait for it;<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0it will surely come; it will not delay<\/span><\/p>\n

2 Peter 3:9<\/span><\/p>\n

The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn! But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells<\/span><\/p>\n
