Revelation 1:19\u00a0 <\/span>Write therefore the things that you have seen, those that are and those that are to take place after this. As for the mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand, and the seven golden lampstands, the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.<\/p>\n

John is told to write about what he has seen, those that are and those that are to take place.\u00a0 <\/span>To see something our eyes have to be open and be willing to see what is there and not just what we want to see.\u00a0 <\/span>How many times in scripture do we read about people and nations who were blinded from seeing the truth because their hearts and minds were on things apart from God?\u00a0 <\/span>They were unable to see the wonders of God.\u00a0 <\/span>They were unable to see His awesome power through creation.\u00a0 <\/span>In Romans it says \u201cFor the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse<\/i><\/b>\u201d They were unable to see His grace, mercy, and love through scripture. It is as though they chose to let the light of this world expose things of this world and overshadow the Light of Jesus Christ.\u00a0 In their heart, they say; “I know what I just saw but I don’t believe it”<\/p>\n

What do you see as you go about your day?\u00a0 <\/span>Do you see things of God, God\u2019s power, God\u2019s control, God\u2019s revealing, God\u2019s blessings, God\u2019s directing, God\u2019s discipline, God\u2019s wonders, God\u2019s creation, God\u2019s grace, mercy, and love, God\u2019s answer to prayer, and the work of the Holy Spirit?\u00a0 <\/span>Let the light of Jesus Christ fill your vision with awe, wonder, and praise.\u00a0 <\/span>It is when our heart, mind, and soul are intentionally committed to living in the light of Jesus Christ that our eyes will be opened and then like the hymn says; \u201cmorning by morning new mercies I see\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>We can not expect to see the light of Jesus Christ while we choose to walk in darkness that is caused by neglect and complacency to God\u2019s Word.\u00a0 <\/span>Choosing to walk in the light will expose new understanding and knowledge of Jesus Christ.\u00a0 <\/span>It will light your path and give you direction for every moment of every day.\u00a0 <\/span>It will give you the courage to face whatever you are facing that day.\u00a0 <\/span>It will give you a refuge from the fiery darts from Satan.\u00a0 <\/span>It will give you hope in the midst of trials and trouble.\u00a0 <\/span>It will give you strength when you are weak.\u00a0 <\/span>It will be a place of refuge.\u00a0 <\/span>It will confirm the awesomeness of Jesus Christ.\u00a0 <\/span>It is when we choose and commit to walking in the light of God\u2019s word that we will reflect the light of Jesus Christ for others to see.\u00a0 It is then we will be able to see things as they are and things that are to take place.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
