Psalms 20:7\u00a0\u00a0Some trust in chariots and some in horses<\/strong>, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.\u00a0<\/strong>They collapse and fall, but we rise and stand upright.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Psalms 33:16-17\u00a0 \u00a0The king is not saved by his great army; a warrior is not delivered by his great strength.\u00a0The war horse is a false hope for salvation, and by its great might it cannot rescue<\/strong><\/p>\n

Isaiah 31:1\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help and rely on horses, who trust in chariots because they are many and in horsemen because they are very strong, but do not look to the Holy One of Israel or consult the LORD!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jeremiah 17:5\u00a0\u00a0Thus says the LORD: \u201cCursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength,<\/strong> whose heart turns away from the LORD.<\/p>\n

2 Chronicles 13:10-12\u00a0 \u00a0But as for us, the LORD is our God,<\/strong> and we have not forsaken him.<\/p>\n

2 Chronicles 14:11\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0And Asa cried to the LORD his God, \u201cO LORD, there is none like you to help, between the mighty and the weak<\/strong>. Help us, O LORD our God, for we rely on you, and in your name we have come against this multitude. O LORD, you are our God; let not man prevail against you.\u201d<\/p>\n

2 Chronicles 32:8\u00a0 \u00a0With him is an arm of flesh, but with us is the LORD our God, to help us and to fight our battles<\/strong>.\u201d And the people took confidence from the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.<\/p>\n

Isaiah 2:22\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0Stop regarding man in whose nostrils is breath, for of what account is he<\/strong>?<\/p>\n

Psalms 146:3 Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation<\/strong>. When his breath departs, he returns to the earth;on that very day his plans perish.<\/p>\n

Isaiah 2:22 Stop regarding man in whose nostrils is breath, for of what account is he?<\/strong> \u2018Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed at this great horde, for the battle is not yours but God’s.<\/p>\n

Are any of you convicted as much as I am after reading these verses? \u00a0It is so easy to trust in my own strength or that of another rather than trust fully in God’s mighty awesome power and steadfast love. God forgive me and my lack of trusting fully in you, for not looking to you first and relying on you, and for my thinking I can handle it on and in my own strength. \u00a0In Ephesians it says that God can do more than we ask and much more than we can imagine, so why do we not turn to Him first, trusting in Him?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
