2 Chronicles 20:18\u00a0 <\/span>Then Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground, and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell down before the Lord, worshiping the Lord.<\/p>\n

2 Chronicles 7:3<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0When all the people of Israel saw the fire come down and the glory of the LORD on the temple, they bowed down with their faces to the ground on the pavement and worshiped and gave thanks to the LORD, saying, \u201cFor he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever.\u201d<\/p>\n

Genesis 24:26<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0The man bowed his head and worshiped the LORD<\/p>\n

Exodus 4:31<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>And the people believed; and when they heard that the LORD had visited the people of Israel and that he had seen their affliction, they bowed their heads and worshiped.<\/p>\n

Job 1:20<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head and fell on the ground and worshiped.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

What does it mean to worship God? We have a time in church service which is worship time where songs are sung to Him.\u00a0 <\/span>These songs are of praise, confession, reverence, need, hope, faith, and love for and to God.\u00a0 <\/span>This is what we do corporately.\u00a0 <\/span>We worship together.\u00a0 <\/span>Sometimes I wonder if, for some, this is the only time of worship in their weekly lives.<\/p>\n

Worship is devotion, reverence, adoration, praise, honor, thanksgiving, cherish, and esteem for God.\u00a0 <\/span>How does this act of worship come about into our lives?\u00a0 <\/span>We see Jehoshaphat leading all the people in humble and thankful worship to God for His protection and fighting their battles.\u00a0 <\/span>We see the Israelites worshiping in giving humble thanks to God for His presence is shown to them at the temple.\u00a0 <\/span>We see a servant man worshiping when He saw God provide a bride for His mater\u2019s son.\u00a0 <\/span>We see the Israelites worship when they heard that God had seen and heard their affliction cries.\u00a0 <\/span>We see Job worshiping God when his flocks were stolen, his servants killed, and his adult children died.<\/p>\n

Worshiping God comes from a belief, trust, reliance, and desire deep within our heart, soul, and mind.\u00a0 <\/span>Worshiping God starts as an intentional choice that becomes a way of life.\u00a0 <\/span>As we mature in Christ our knowledge and understanding of His grace, mercy, and love grow in our heart and mind.\u00a0 <\/span>It is in this maturing where we can worship God in and through all things we face this life.<\/p>\n

When we intentionally choose, desire, and seek God with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength there will be a growth and maturing in our worship of God.\u00a0 <\/span>Worship in our daily lives is a very good indicator of our walk with Jesus Christ.\u00a0 <\/span>It is more than quick a thank you for something good that happens.\u00a0 <\/span>It is a way of life, intentional choice, and seeking to be in the presence of Jesus Christ at all times and worships Him through what is thought, said, and done.\u00a0 <\/span>This is a life that has chosen to humbly serve, honor, follow, obey, and worship God in and through their life.<\/p>\n

True worship places Jesus Christ first in our life.\u00a0 <\/span>True worship gives praise in all things.\u00a0 <\/span>True worship spends time in His word.\u00a0 <\/span>True worship is a heart that is open to hearing the whispers of the Holy Spirit with a willingness to obey.\u00a0 <\/span>True worship learns to deny self. True worship confesses sin.\u00a0 <\/span>True worship repents and turns away from sin.\u00a0 <\/span>True worship speaks of the Grace, Mercy, and Love of Jesus Christ.\u00a0 <\/span>True worship Prays.\u00a0 <\/span>True worship continues to grow.\u00a0 <\/span>True worship yields all things to the purpose and plans of God.<\/p>\n

Blessings or hardships are both for the worship, honor, and glory of Jesus Christ.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
