Deuteronomy 29:18\u00a0 <\/span>Beware lest there be among you a man or woman or clan or tribe whose heart is turning away today from the Lord our God to go and serve the gods of those nations. Beware lest there be among you a root bearing poisonous and bitter fruit, one who, when he hears the words of this sworn covenant, blesses himself in his heart, saying, \u2018I shall be safe, though I walk in the stubbornness of my heart.\u2019 This will lead to the sweeping away of moist and dry alike. The Lord will not be willing to forgive him, but rather the anger of the Lord and his jealousy will smoke against that man, and the curses written in this book will settle upon him, and the Lord will blot out his name from under heaven.<\/p>\n

Ecclesiastes 11:9<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0Rejoice, O young man, in your youth, and let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth. Walk in the ways of your heart and the sight of your eyes. But know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment.<\/p>\n

Romans 1:21<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened.<\/p>\n

Jeremiah 7:24<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0But they did not obey or incline their ear, but walked in their own counsels and the stubbornness of their evil hearts, and went backward and not forward.<\/p>\n

Psalms 10:11<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0He says in his heart, \u201cGod has forgotten, he has hidden his face, he will never see it.<\/p>\n

Deuteronomy 11:16-17<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0Take care lest your heart be deceived, and you turn aside<\/p>\n

With all these warnings it is good to have reasons to stay in His word every day.<\/p>\n

It helps to know and do God\u2019s will<\/p>\n

It leads you away from sin<\/p>\n

It will guard you against false teaching<\/p>\n

Gives you time alone with Jesus<\/p>\n

It will convict you or sin<\/p>\n

You will see how great of love was demonstrated and given for your salvation<\/p>\n

You will find encouragement<\/p>\n

You will find reason to praise Jesus<\/p>\n

Your faith will grow<\/p>\n

You will find rest and peace for today and hope for tomorrow<\/p>\n

You will be building a defense against Satan’s attacks<\/p>\n

His word must be\u00a0active in our lives or\u00a0something else will surely fill that void.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
