Genesis 15:8<\/b>\u00a0<\/a><\/span>\u00a0But he said, \u201cO Lord GOD, how am I to know that I shall possess it?\u201d<\/p>\n

2 Kings 20:8<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0And Hezekiah said to Isaiah, \u201cWhat shall be the sign that the LORD will heal me, and that I shall go up to the house of the LORD on the third day?\u201d<\/p>\n

Luke 1:18<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0And Zechariah said to the angel, \u201cHow shall I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife is advanced in years.\u201d<\/p>\n

Psalms 86:17<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0Show me a sign of your favor, that those who hate me may see and be put to shame because you, LORD, have helped me and comforted me.<\/p>\n

Genesis 24:2-4<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0And Abraham said to his servant, the oldest of his household, who had charge of all that he had, \u201cPut your hand under my thigh,\u00a0\u00a0that I may make you swear by the LORD, the God of heaven and God of the earth, that you will not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell,\u00a0\u00a0but will go to my country and to my kindred, and take a wife for my son Isaac.\u201d<\/p>\n

Genesis 24:13-14<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0Behold, I am standing by the spring of water, and the daughters of the men of the city are coming out to draw water.\u00a0\u00a0Let the young woman to whom I shall say, \u2018Please let down your jar that I may drink,\u2019 and who shall say, \u2018Drink, and I will water your camels\u2019\u2014let her be the one whom you have appointed for your servant Isaac. Judges 6:36-40<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0Then Gideon said to God, \u201cIf you will save Israel by my hand, as you have said,\u00a0\u00a0behold, I am laying a fleece of wool on the threshing floor. If there is dew on the fleece alone, and it is dry on all the ground, then I shall know that you will save Israel by my hand, as you have said.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0And it was so. When he rose early next morning and squeezed the fleece, he wrung enough dew from the fleece to fill a bowl with water.\u00a0\u00a0Then Gideon said to God, \u201cLet not your anger burn against me; let me speak just once more. Please let me test just once more with the fleece. Please let it be dry on the fleece only, and on all the ground let there be dew.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0And God did so that night; and it was dry on the fleece only, and on all the ground there was dew.<\/p>\n

1 Samuel 14:9-10<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0If they say to us, \u2018Wait until we come to you,\u2019 then we will stand still in our place, and we will not go up to them.\u00a0\u00a0But if they say, \u2018Come up to us,\u2019 then we will go up, for the LORD has given them into our hand. And this shall be the sign to us.\u201d<\/p>\n

Isaiah 7:11<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0\u201cAsk a sign of the LORD your God; let it be deep as Sheol or high as heaven.\u201d<\/p>\n

Matthew 12:38-40<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered him, saying, \u201cTeacher, we wish to see a sign from you.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0But he answered them, \u201cAn evil and adulterous generation seeks for a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.<\/p>\n

There are certain aspects of our christian life that definitely do not need a sign from God for us to follow.<\/p>\n

2 Peter 1:4. <\/span>Through these He has given us His precious and magnificent promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, now that you have escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.\u00a0<\/span><\/em>For this<\/span><\/a>\u00a0very reason,<\/span><\/a>\u00a0make<\/span><\/a>\u00a0every<\/span><\/a>\u00a0effort<\/span><\/a> to add<\/span><\/a>\u00a0to<\/span><\/a>\u00a0your<\/span><\/a>\u00a0faith<\/span><\/a>\u00a0virtue;<\/span><\/a>\u00a0and<\/span><\/a>\u00a0to<\/span><\/a>\u00a0virtue,<\/span><\/a>\u00a0knowledge;<\/span><\/a> <\/b>and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness<\/em>;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Galatians 5:22<\/b>\u00a0<\/a><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,\u00a0gentleness, self-control<\/span><\/em>; against such things there is no law.<\/p>\n

One thing is clear, if we do not spend time cultivating a life with these foundations being hammered solid through reading and applying His word, how its it expected to see a sign from Him in whom there is not daily desire to honor, glorify, serve, follow and obey.\u00a0 <\/span>Walking with God this side of eternity has questions which requires living active faith.\u00a0 <\/span>Faith that is grown and cultivated through His word.<\/p>\n

We can ask God to give us a sign but I have found many times that He confirms directions for us to follow without us needing to ask.\u00a0 <\/span>We just need to have our heart and ears tuned in to listening for the quiet small whispers of God through the indwelling Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n

Do you want a sign?\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Do you want to hear Him speak into your life through His word?<\/p>\n

Do you want to see things unfold knowing God\u2019s hand is active in plans and purposes in your life?<\/p>\n

Faith is the substance of things hoped for and evidence of things not seen.\u00a0\u00a0In our life of instant everything we seem have lost the ability to seek God with expectant faith anticipation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
