Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Do you ever wonder why people come to God and receive His forgiveness and then fall away? \u00a0Or wonder why others who have been so on fire and thankful for salvation just seem to have little depth in their conviction anymore? \u00a0We are to hold dear that which has been entrusted to us. \u00a0Which is: an understanding of who God is, our sin, His plan of salvation, the death and resurrection of His Son, our forgiveness, and promise of eternal life. \u00a0How is it that we choose to stay so close to the world and what it has to offer and lose sight of the blessings of being a humble servant of His that seeks His will for their life with all their heart, mind, and soul? \u00a0 I have stated this line from an old hymn before but there is so much truth in it : “Turn you eyes upon Jesus and look full into His wonderful face, and the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace”. \u00a0Let Him be the light of everyday and seek His will for every minute of every day. \u00a0Do not be one that is spoken of in the scripture ” went after worthlessness, and became worthless”<\/p>\n

Matthew 24:10<\/p>\n

And then many will fall away<\/strong> and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.<\/strong> And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.<\/p>\n

Revelation 2:4
\nBut I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first.<\/strong> Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first. If not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent.<\/p>\n

Jeremiah 2:5
\n\u201cWhat wrong did your fathers find in me<\/strong>
\nthat they went far from me,<\/strong>
\n and went after worthlessness, and became worthless?<\/strong><\/p>\n

2 Kings 17:14
