{"id":280,"date":"2016-05-24T02:16:15","date_gmt":"2016-05-24T09:16:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/prayingpint.com\/?p=280"},"modified":"2016-05-24T02:16:15","modified_gmt":"2016-05-24T09:16:15","slug":"lukewarm-commitment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.prayingpint.com\/index.php\/2016\/05\/24\/lukewarm-commitment\/","title":{"rendered":"Lukewarm Commitment"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p>So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>What is a life like that is lukewarm? \u00a0I have to think partial commitment to listening to God is part of it. \u00a0Do we look to His word everyday or just once per week when the pastor speaks? \u00a0Living for God and knowing what He would have us do requires more than a glance at the gift he has given us in scripture. \u00a0Each time we open His word there is a feeding to our soul. \u00a0A new light for our life. \u00a0God has purposed for us to live to honor and glorify Him. \u00a0 Knowing God is not a lukewarm commitment. \u00a0How can God use us if we are not fully committed and willing to be used by Him? \u00a0 Choose to seek and know Him more. \u00a0Choose a life that has purpose to honor and glorify Him over self.<\/p>\n<p>Matther 21:23<br \/>\n\u201cBy what authority are you doing these things, and who gave you this authority?\u201d Jesus answered them, \u201cI also will ask you one question, and if you tell me the answer, then I also will tell you by what authority I do these things. The baptism of John, from where did it come? From heaven or from man?\u201d <strong>And they discussed it among themselves, saying, \u201cIf we say, \u2018From heaven,\u2019 he will say to us, \u2018Why then did you not believe him? \u2019 But if we say, \u2018From man,\u2019 we are afraid of the crowd, for they all hold that John was a prophet.<\/strong>\u201d So they answered Jesus, \u201cWe do not know.\u201d And he said to them, \u201cNeither will I tell you by what authority I do these things<\/p>\n<p>John 3:27<br \/>\nJohn answered, \u201c<strong>A person cannot receive even one thing unless it is given him from heaven<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1 Corinthians 4:7<br \/>\n<strong>What do you have that you did not receive?<\/strong> If then you received it, why do you boast as if you did not receive it.<\/p>\n<p>James 1:17<br \/>\n<strong>Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above<\/strong>, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures.<\/p>\n<p>1 Peter 4:10<br \/>\n<strong>As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God&#8217;s varied grace<\/strong>: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies\u2014in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ<\/p>\n<p>Revelation 3:15<br \/>\n<strong>\u201c\u2018I know your works:you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot!
