{"id":27019,"date":"2017-11-03T01:20:21","date_gmt":"2017-11-03T08:20:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/prayingpint.com\/?p=27019"},"modified":"2017-11-03T01:20:21","modified_gmt":"2017-11-03T08:20:21","slug":"they-accuse-me","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.prayingpint.com\/index.php\/2017\/11\/03\/they-accuse-me\/","title":{"rendered":"They Accuse Me"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p>\u201cIn return for my love they accuse me, but I give myself to prayer.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"verseid:43.11.55\"><b>John 11:55<\/b>\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0Now the Passover of the Jews was at hand, and many went up from the country to Jerusalem before the Passover to purify themselves. \u00a0They were looking for Jesus and saying to one another as they stood in the temple, \u201cWhat do you think? That he will not come to the feast at all?\u201d \u00a0Now the chief priests and the Pharisees had given orders that if anyone knew where he was, he should let them know, so that they might arrest him.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"verseid:2.12.11\"><b>Exodus 12:11<\/b><\/a><b>\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0In this manner you shall eat it: with your belt fastened, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand. And you shall eat it in haste. It is the LORD&#8217;s Passover.\u00a0\u00a0For I will pass through the land of Egypt that night, and I will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and on all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgments: I am the LORD.\u00a0\u00a0The blood shall be a sign for you, on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and no plague will befall you to destroy you, when I strike the land of Egypt.\u00a0\u00a0\u201cThis day shall be for you a memorial day, and you shall keep it as a feast to the LORD; throughout your generations, as a statute forever, you shall keep it as a feast.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"verseid:16.8.1\"><b>Nehemiah 8:1<\/b><\/a><b>\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0And all the people gathered as one man into the square before the Water Gate. And they told Ezra the scribe to bring the Book of the Law of Moses that the LORD had commanded Israel.\u00a0\u00a0So Ezra the priest brought the Law before the assembly, both men and women and all who could understand what they heard, on the first day of the seventh month.\u00a0\u00a0And he read from it facing the square before the Water Gate from early morning until midday, in the presence of the men and the women and those who could understand. And the ears of all the people were attentive to the Book of the Law.\u00a0\u00a0And Ezra the scribe stood on a wooden platform that they had made for the purpose. And beside him stood Mattithiah, Shema, Anaiah, Uriah, Hilkiah, and Maaseiah on his right hand, and Pedaiah, Mishael, Malchijah, Hashum, Hashbaddanah, Zechariah, and Meshullam on his left hand.\u00a0\u00a0And Ezra opened the book in the sight of all the people, for he was above all the people, and as he opened it all the people stood.\u00a0\u00a0And Ezra blessed the LORD, the great God, and all the people answered, \u201cAmen, Amen,\u201d lifting up their hands. And they bowed their heads and worshiped the LORD with their faces to the ground.\u00a0\u00a0Also Jeshua, Bani, Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodiah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, the Levites, helped the people to understand the Law, while the people remained in their places.\u00a0\u00a0They read from the book, from the Law of God, clearly, and they gave the sense, so that the people understood the reading.\u00a0\u00a0And Nehemiah, who was the governor, and Ezra the priest and scribe, and the Levites who taught the people said to all the people, \u201cThis day is holy to the LORD your God; do not mourn or weep.\u201d For all the people wept as they heard the words of the Law.<\/p>\n<p>It was the time of the Lord&#8217;s Passover feast, a time when the people were to remember the time of God&#8217;s mighty hand of deliverance from Egypt. \u00a0A time of reflection and hopefully a time of recommitting service and reverence to Him. \u00a0The Pharisees in full knowledge of the works and miracles Jesus had done, and in light of the Passover coming, chose to take a path of resistance to God&#8217;s Son seeking to arrest him. The Passover feast became more of a ritual rather than a time of remembrance. Look at the difference in the people during a time of Nehemiah. \u00a0The ears of the people were attentive and with lifted arms and bowed heads they wept as they heard the words of the Law. \u00a0When our heart and mind have desire and seek to hear God&#8217;s voice through His word it will have an effect.
