Every last one of us, or someone close to us has been wronged by someone. \u00a0It will have happened from a stranger, wife, husband, mom, dad, brother, sister, extended family member, colleague, boss. and even us to others, etc…. No matter where it comes from it hurts and I think it hurts most when it comes from those closest to us. \u00a0 Yet scripture is very clear isn’t it – there is no limit on how many times we are to forgive. \u00a0Our example on forgiveness is to be looked at from the side of understanding what God has done with us who have received His forgiveness. \u00a0Our Holy God not only forgave us, but also the debt of sin was paid in full by His son. \u00a0The act of Forgiveness only takes the action of one person. \u00a0It is up to the individual alone to forgive even if the other person has no desire to reconcile. \u00a0What would life be like if we were to forgive, forget, and show mercy and love to those who wrong us. \u00a0Do you want to be a light to the world that sees no hope? Do you want to make a difference in the lives of those around you? Do you want to honor and glorify God? – Forgive those who have wronged you – Show the same grace, mercy and love God has given you!<\/p>\n

\nThen Peter came up and said to him, \u201cLord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?\u201d Jesus said to him, \u201cI do not say to you seven times, but seventy- seven times<\/strong> \u201cTherefore the kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who wished to settle accounts with his servants. When he began to settle, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents. And since he could not pay, his master ordered him to be sold, with his wife and children and all that he had, and payment to be made. So the servant fell on his knees, imploring him, \u2018Have patience with me, and I will pay you everything. \u2019 And out of pity for him, the master of that servant released him and forgave him the debt. But when that same servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii, and seizing him, he began to choke him, saying, \u2018Pay what you owe. \u2019 So his fellow servant fell down and pleaded with him, \u2018Have patience with me, and I will pay you. \u2019 He refused and went and put him in prison until he should pay the debt. When his fellow servants saw what had taken place, they were greatly distressed, and they went and reported to their master all that had taken place. Then his master summoned him and said to him, \u2018You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you pleaded with me. And should not you have had mercy on your fellow servant, as I had mercy on you?<\/strong> \u2019 And in anger his master delivered him to the jailers, until he should pay all his debt. So also my heavenly Father will do to every one of you, if you do not forgive your brother from your heart<\/strong><\/p>\n
\nWhoever closes his ear to the cry of the poor<\/strong>
\nwill himself call out and not be answered<\/strong><\/p>\n
\nFor judgment is without mercy to one who has shown no mercy<\/strong><\/p>\n
