\nAnd he called the people to him and said to them, \u201cHear and understand: it is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but what comes out of the mouth<\/strong>; this defiles a person.
\n\u201cExplain the parable to us.\u201d And he said, \u201cAre you also still without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the stomach and is expelled? But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart<\/strong>, and this defiles a person. For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, slander. These are what defile a person.<\/p>\n
\nbut no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people who are made in the likeness of God.
