John 4:1<\/b>\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0Now when Jesus learned that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus was making and baptizing more disciples than John \u00a0(although Jesus himself did not baptize, but only his disciples), \u00a0he left Judea and departed again for Galilee.<\/p>\n

John 3:26<\/b><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0And they came to John and said to him, \u201cRabbi, he who was with you across the Jordan, to whom you bore witness\u2014look, he is baptizing, and all are going to him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Acts 10:36<\/b><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0As for the word that he sent to Israel, preaching good news of peace through Jesus Christ (he is Lord of all),<\/p>\n

1 Corinthians 2:8<\/b><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0None of the rulers of this age understood this, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.<\/p>\n

2 Corinthians 4:5<\/b><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.<\/p>\n

1 Corinthians 1:13<\/b><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?\u00a0\u00a0I thank God that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius,\u00a0\u00a0so that no one may say that you were baptized in my name.\u00a0\u00a0(I did baptize also the household of Stephanas. Beyond that, I do not know whether I baptized anyone else.)\u00a0\u00a0For Christ did not send me to baptize but to preach the gospel, and not with words of eloquent wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.<\/p>\n

Jesus’s disciples were baptizing disciples more so than John. \u00a0When Jesus heard the Pharisees had heard of this he departed for Galilee. \u00a0John’s disciples also made note of this. \u00a0This had to have made John’s heart very very happy. \u00a0People back then, like now, either reject or embrace the need for confession of sin and restoration (made right) with God. \u00a0Baptism symbolizing death to old self (repenting) and rebirth of new self (turning away from old self). \u00a0When God speaks to a persons heart they have the choice to come to Him or reject Him. \u00a0To those who choose to listen, honor, serve, follow and obey they find new life. \u00a0A life with clearer purpose, joy, peace, understanding, faith, and hope. \u00a0Those who do not see this choice as foolishness and a sign of weakness. \u00a0This is so much more to live when lived for serving Him. \u00a0Find your purpose in choosing to be His disciple.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
