Seeking wisdom is not bad. \u00a0Wisdom allows good decisions if it is followed. However seeking it apart from God is. Wisdom of this world has a limit or duration. \u00a0That limit is from the the point of understanding until deeper wisdom is added, yet at the end of this death happens and it is gone. \u00a0This wisdom may benefit others but it too has a duration. \u00a0Scripture tells us that true wisdom begins with a fear and respect for God. \u00a0Beginning with this wisdom, all other wisdom that follows has much deeper application and benefit for eternity. \u00a0Do we wish for wisdom? “Seek first the Kingdom of God and all these things shall be added”<\/p>\n
Matthew 12:38 –\u00a0Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered him, saying, \u201cTeacher, we wish to see a sign from you.\u201d But he answered them, \u201cAn evil and adulterous generation seeks for a sign, but no sign will be given to it<\/p>\n
1 Corinthians 1:21
\nWhere is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world.? For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe. For Jews demand signs and Greeks seek wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men<\/p>\n
