“Restore us, O LORD God of hosts!
\nLet your face shine, that we may be saved!”<\/p><\/blockquote>\nHosea 6:1
\n\u201cCome, let us return to the Lord;<\/strong>
\nfor he has torn us, that he may heal us;
\nhe has struck us down, and he will bind us up.
\nAfter two days he will revive us;
\non the third day he will raise us up,<\/strong>
\nthat we may live before him.<\/strong>
\nLet us know; let us press on to know the Lord;<\/strong>
\nhis going out is sure as the dawn;<\/strong>
\nhe will come to us as the showers,
\nas the spring rains that water the earth.\u201d<\/p>\nPsalms 71:20
\nYou who have made me see many troubles and calamities\u00a0will revive me again<\/strong>;\u00a0from the depths of the earth\u00a0you will bring me up again.\u00a0You will increase my greatness\u00a0and comfort me again.<\/p>\nJohn 2:20
\nJesus answered them, \u201cDestroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.\u201d<\/strong> The Jews then said, \u201cIt has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will you raise it up in three days?\u201d But he was speaking about the temple of his body. When therefore he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they believed the Scripture and the word that Jesus had spoken.<\/strong><\/p>\nCorinthians 15:3
\nFor I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures<\/strong><\/p>\nLuke 24:46
\n\u201cThus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, and that repentance for the forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things.<\/strong><\/p>\nIn the first 6 chapters of Hosea it talks about the falling away from following God, not seeking to know or understand God, choosing to do what seems right in our own eyes, and the consequence to a nation and people because of it. \u00a0Now we read acknowledgement of His hand against them and a plea to return to the Lord. Why? \u00a0“That we may live before Him.” \u00a0And Hosea encourages with “Let us know; let us press on to know the Lord;” We all get busy with life but is this any reason to choose to NOT seek and know the Lord. \u00a0Scripture tells us over and over again that in times of peace and prosperity people (us included) choose to seek everything under the sun but God. \u00a0We choose sports, relaxation, boats, vacation homes, hiking, work, TV, music, …. and the list goes on doesn’t it. We can always find reasons to be busy and never enough time to seek and know God, however when trials and problems comes our way our focus changes and we seem to find time for God then. \u00a0Seems like a very shallow commitment doesn’t it. \u00a0Hosea’s word ring loud “Let us return to the Lord,\u00a0Let us know; let us press on to know the Lord;”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
