To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.<\/em> God is more patient than we are because He sees us from the perspective of eternity. That\u2019s why Moses wasn\u2019t called to his work until age eighty. That\u2019s why Jesus began His ministry at age thirty. That\u2019s why Abraham\u2019s prayer for a child wasn\u2019t answered until it seemed too late, and that\u2019s why our Lord showed up at the home of Lazarus after the man had died.<\/p>\n God doesn\u2019t work on our timetable. In Genesis, Joseph was enslaved at age seventeen and spent about thirteen years in slavery and prison. Yet during that time, God was preparing him to become one of the most powerful men in the world. If you\u2019re waiting for an answer from God, be patient and remember that God has perfect timing.\u00a0 An anonymous little poem puts it like this:<\/p>\n God has perfect timing; never early, never late.<\/em> \u201cWe shall not grow weary of waiting upon God if we remember how long and how graciously He once waited for us\u201d.
