Hebrews 4:12\u00a0\u00a0For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n

1 Thessalonians 2:13<\/strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>John 17:17<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0 <\/b>\u00a0\u00a0Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Romans 10:17<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0 <\/b>\u00a0\u00a0So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Acts 13:46<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0And Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly, saying, \u201cIt was necessary that the word of God be spoken first to you. Since you thrust it aside and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we are turning to the Gentiles.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Acts 13:44<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0 <\/b>\u00a0The next Sabbath almost the whole city gathered to hear the word of the Lord.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Luke 11:28<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0 <\/b>\u00a0\u00a0But he said, \u201cBlessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Acts 8:14<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0 <\/b>\u00a0\u00a0Now when the apostles at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent to them Peter and John,<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Jeremiah 23:28-29<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0 <\/b>\u00a0\u00a0Let the prophet who has a dream tell the dream, but let him who has my word speak my word faithfully. What has straw in common with wheat? declares the LORD. \u00a0\u00a0Is not my word like fire, declares the LORD, and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

When we welcome the Word into our lives, it goes to work. It effectively works inside of us\u2014inside our brains and bodies, inside our souls and spirits, inside our personalities and homes. It\u2019s a living book, and when we receive it, it rolls up its sleeves. The Bible works on our attitudes, giving us less bitterness and impatience, more love and happiness. It works on our conversation, helping us speak more wisely and confidently. It works on our minds, removing the filth and focusing our thoughts on what is true and noble. It works on our habits, forming us increasingly into the image of Christ.<\/p>\n

The Bible does a supernatural work in our hearts. That\u2019s why in addition to reading it daily, we want to memorize its verses, meditate on its truths, and share its message with others. Let the Bible go to work within you! (Jeremiah)<\/p>\n

Never live on memories; let the Word of God always be living and active in you.<\/em><\/p>\n

The Word of God is sharper than a two-edged sword. It is truth. It sets you free. It is like fire. It is like a hammer on a rock. It can be spoken. It can be read. It can be heard. It is living. It creates fruits of faith, character, hope, love, joy, peace, love, gentleness, kindness, etc…. It remains forever. It can be understood. It proclaims God’s grace, mercy, and love. It convicts us of sin. It brings light in the darkness. It gives us courage. It humbles us. It proclaims God’s holiness. It is spiritual food. It will sanctify us. It is Good News. It proclaims Jesus Christ’s love. It is a refuge. It is powerful. It discerns our thoughts. It gives rest to your soul. It was inspired by God through the Holy Spirit. It is pure. It is wisdom and knowledge. It is The Word Of God<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
