It is important to do what is right for the honor, glory, and praise of Jesus Christ. Yet, it is what is in our hearts that comes out of our mouths and is a very good indicator of what are actions are going to be. Our minds mull over many things. Thoughts come in at the speed of light. Some of them are good thoughts and others are not good at all. It is good for us to be able to discern these thoughts as good or bad. Bad thoughts should be taken captive. When they pop into your head, pray, “God this thought is not honoring or glorifying you. Thank you for the Holy Spirit who has revealed this to me. Cast it out of my head. Discard it from my memory. Amen.”

Where do these bad and unholy thoughts end up if we allow them time in our minds? God’s Word filling our hearts and minds will transform our hearts and minds. However, there must be a desire driving us. It is an intentional choice and desire above all else in life to honor and glorify Jesus Christ in all of our thoughts, words, and actions.

Do we actually think we can overcome all of the stimuli we get each day from news outlets, sports, social media, culture, or friends and family by attending church once per week and committing to listening to a Christian radio station?
