\n1 John 2:2 \u00a0\u00a0<\/span>He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/span>1 John 4:10<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/b>\u00a0\u00a0In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.<\/p>\n
Romans 3:25-26<\/b><\/a><\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God’s righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins.\u00a0\u00a0It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.<\/p>\n

Christ is a propitiation (make peace with God for us) through faith in his blood, the benefit of his propitiatory sacrifice is only received and enjoyed through faith; so that in the event it appears that Christ is a propitiation only for believers, a character which does not agree with all mankind; add to this, that for whom Christ is a propitiation he is also an advocate,\u00a01 John 2:1\u00a0<\/span><\/a>; but he is not an advocate for every individual person in the world; yea, there is a world he will not pray for\u00a0(John 17:9\u00a0<\/span><\/a>\u00a0 <\/span>I pray for them.\u00a0I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me,\u00a0for they are yours<\/i><\/b><\/span>), and consequently is not a propitiation for them.\u00a0(Gill)<\/p>\n
The world is blind to sin and the need for Jesus Christ. One may think, because it says \u201cbut also for the sins of the whole world\u201d that their sins are taken care of and there they rest. Seeing little if any need for Christ, but in the off chance there is a need, it has been taken care of. There is no conviction of sin, no need for forgiveness, no repentance, no trust, no reliance, no faith, no obedience, no new birth, no need for Jesus, no change in their life.\u00a0 <\/span>All there is only a false belief that their sin was taken care of by Jesus because Jesus took away the sins of the whole world. The deceiver of the whole world – Satan, keeps deceiving them into falseness.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
There is nothing more precious to the soul of any person than to come to the knowledge and understanding of their sin and the judgment (eternal torment in hell) and the grace, mercy, and love of God found in belief, trust, reliance, hope, and faith in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for their sin.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
