Good News –\u00a0 <\/span>Gospel –\u00a0 <\/span>Repentance –\u00a0 <\/span>Forgiveness –\u00a0 <\/span>Redemption –\u00a0 <\/span>Salvation –\u00a0 <\/span>Eternal life<\/p>\n Jhn 3:16-17<\/b>\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0<\/a><\/span>\u00a0\u201cFor God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. \u00a0For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n \u00a0 <\/span>Condemn –\u00a0 <\/span>Perish – \u00a0 <\/span>Saved –\u00a0 <\/span>Eternal Life\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Jhn 3:19<\/b>\u00a0<\/a><\/span>\u00a0And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Loved Darkness –\u00a0 <\/span>Evil –\u00a0 <\/span>Judgment<\/p>\n Rom 1:20-22<\/b>\u00a0<\/a><\/span>\u00a0For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.\u00a0For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened.\u00a0Claiming to be wise, they became fools,<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Invisible Attributes –\u00a0 <\/span>Eternal Power –\u00a0 <\/span>Divine Nature –\u00a0 <\/span>Clearly Perceived – Creation<\/p>\n Without Excuse –\u00a0 <\/span>Did Not Honor God –\u00a0 <\/span>Did Not Give Thanks To God – Futile Thinking – Foolish – Darkened –\u00a0 <\/span>Fools<\/p>\n Rom 1:24<\/b>\u00a0<\/a><\/span>\u00a0Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity<\/p>\n Rom 1:28-31<\/b>\u00a0<\/a><\/span>\u00a0And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.\u00a0They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips,\u00a0slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents,\u00a0foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Lusts –\u00a0 <\/span>Impurity –\u00a0 <\/span>Debased Mind –\u00a0 <\/span>Unrighteousness –\u00a0 <\/span>Evil –\u00a0 <\/span>Covetousness –\u00a0 <\/span>Malice –\u00a0 <\/span>Envy –\u00a0 <\/span>Murder –\u00a0 <\/span>Strife –\u00a0 <\/span>Deceit<\/p>\n Gossips –\u00a0 <\/span>Sladerers –\u00a0 <\/span>Haters of God –\u00a0 <\/span>Insolent –\u00a0 <\/span>Haughty –\u00a0 <\/span>Boastful –\u00a0 <\/span>Inventors of Evil – Disobedient – Foolish – Faithless<\/p>\n Heartless –\u00a0 <\/span>Ruthless<\/p>\n Rom 1:32<\/b>\u00a0<\/a><\/span>\u00a0Though they know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.<\/p>\n Rom 3:18<\/b>\u00a0<\/a><\/span>\u00a0\u201cThere is no fear of God before their eyes.\u201d<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span>Psalms 36:1<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/b> Transgression speaks to the wicked deep in his heart; there is no fear of God before his eyes.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span>Proverbs 8:13<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0The fear of the LORD is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span>Proverbs 23:17<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0Let not your heart envy sinners, but continue in the fear of the LORD all the day.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n No Fear of God – Pride – Arrogance –\u00a0 <\/span>Evil – Perverted Speech –\u00a0 <\/span>Envy<\/p>\n Psalm 119:78. May the arrogant be ashamed, for they subvert me with a lie; But I shall meditate on Your precepts.<\/p>\n Isaiah 45:16 \u00a0 <\/span>They will be put to shame and even humiliated, all of them<\/p>\n Jeremiah 17:13.\u00a0 <\/span>O Lord, the hope of Israel, All who forsake You will be put to shame.<\/p>\n Ezra 9:6\u00a0 <\/span>and I said, \u201cO my God, I am ashamed and embarrassed to lift up my face to You, my God, for our iniquities have risen above our heads and our guilt has grown even to the heavens.<\/p>\n Job 8:22\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cThose who hate you will be clothed with shame,<\/p>\n Daniel 12:2 Many of those who sleep in the dust of the ground will awake, these to everlasting life, but the others to disgrace and everlasting contempt.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span>Psalms 35:26<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0Let them be put to shame and disappointed altogether who rejoice at my calamity! Let them be clothed with shame and dishonor who magnify themselves against me!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Arrogant –\u00a0 <\/span>Ashamed –\u00a0 <\/span>Lie –\u00a0 <\/span>Humiliated –\u00a0 <\/span>Forsake You –\u00a0 <\/span>Embarrassed –\u00a0 <\/span>Guilt –\u00a0 <\/span>Hate you –\u00a0 <\/span>Disgrace<\/p>\n Everlasting Contempt –\u00a0 <\/span>Disappointed<\/p>\n How can the Gospel be preached, spoken, and offered without the proclamation of the need due to our sin? God\u2019s grace, mercy, and love are truly blessings beyond our imagination. We do not fully understand their depth and width due to our limited understanding of the absolute Holiness of God, yet our need for them in light of our sin.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n We begin to scratch the surface of it when we begin to understand Sin. Without a basic understanding of sin, there is no application for the Gospel in our lives. We can not understand the basis for God\u2019s grace, mercy, and love. There is no reason to fear God. Without this basic understanding of sin being jointly proclaimed and declared with the Good News of Jesus Christ people will shallowly come to God seeking the benefit of eternal life, but not for the forgiveness of Sin. The need fo repentance will not be recognized. The brutality and cruelty of all the physical violence Jesus bore on His body will not be understood. The penalty He bore was OURS! It was due to our SINs! His agony and death to redeem us and give us eternal life. How can the need for the Gospel be presented without the declaration of Sin?\u00a0 <\/span>It can not.<\/p>\n A person should feel shame, guilt, hopelessness, despair, conviction, worry for their souls, helplessness, unworthy, fear, judgment, etc\u2026. in light of the Holiness of God and hearing of the Gospel when the understanding of sin is exposed to their hearts and minds.\u00a0 <\/span>The fullness of God\u2019s grace, mercy, and love is only understood in the light of His holiness and our sinfulness.
