Be not silent, O God of my praise!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Psalms 109:2<\/b>\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0For wicked and deceitful mouths are opened against me, speaking against me with lying tongues.\u00a0 \u00a0They encircle me with words of hate, and attack me without cause.\u00a0 \u00a0In return for my love they accuse me, but I give myself to prayer.\u00a0 \u00a0So they reward me evil for good, and hatred for my love.\u00a0 \u00a0Appoint a wicked man against him; let an accuser stand at his right hand.\u00a0 \u00a0When he is tried, let him come forth guilty; let his prayer be counted as sin!\u00a0 \u00a0May his days be few; may another take his office!\u00a0 \u00a0May his children be fatherless and his wife a widow!\u00a0 \u00a0May his children wander about and beg, seeking food far from the ruins they inhabit!\u00a0 \u00a0May the creditor seize all that he has; may strangers plunder the fruits of his toil!\u00a0 \u00a0Let there be none to extend kindness to him, nor any to pity his fatherless children!\u00a0 \u00a0May his posterity be cut off; may his name be blotted out in the second generation!\u00a0 \u00a0May the iniquity of his fathers be remembered before the LORD, and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out!\u00a0 \u00a0Let them be before the LORD continually, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth!\u00a0 \u00a0For he did not remember to show kindness, but pursued the poor and needy and the brokenhearted, to put them to death.\u00a0 \u00a0He loved to curse; let curses come upon him! He did not delight in blessing; may it be far from him!\u00a0 \u00a0He clothed himself with cursing as his coat; may it soak into his body like water, like oil into his bones!\u00a0 \u00a0May it be like a garment that he wraps around him, like a belt that he puts on every day! \u00a0May this be the reward of my accusers from the LORD, of those who speak evil against my life!<\/p>\n

This Psalm is very clear to those who mock God, treat others poorly, and prey on the weak. \u00a0I want to be clear I am a bit confused and do not fully understand this scripture in light of God’s grace and mercy shown to me. \u00a0I was not a bad bad person but for sure I gave little to no thought about God, sin, heaven, hell, judgment, …… Yet God in His grace and mercy pulled me out of a life without true purpose (most of life was about me, myself and I). \u00a0He forgave me and gave me hope, joy, peace, rest, love and purpose. \u00a0If He gave me what I deserved it would mirror what is stated in this Psalm. \u00a0So I have a hard time reconciling this Psalm, knowing it is what I deserved, with His grace and mercy. \u00a0How can I make statements like this for it is from where I came. \u00a0It obviously has meaning and warning for those apart from God but equally or more important is sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost and without hope people. \u00a0God’s word is sharper than a two edged sword and able to change the heart of man. \u00a0Be slow to anger and quick to forgive aways able to give reason for the hope that is within you. \u00a0Share your faith in God always. \u00a0Live your faith in God always.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
