In the first two, Habakkuk complained about his nation. He was discouraged. But the Lord told him to trust\u2014for the just must live by faith (Habakkuk 2:4). In the final chapter, Habakkuk responded by composing a hymn. He rejoiced in God\u2019s splendor and glory, and he said that even if the fig didn\u2019t blossom or the fields yield food, he would still rejoice in the Lord. He ended by saying, \u201cThe Lord God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer\u2019s feet, and He will make me walk on my high hills\u201d (Habakkuk 3:19).<\/p>\n<p>Like Habakkuk, we sometimes question what God does or what He doesn\u2019t do. Yet we must walk by faith, remembering who He is and how He works. Meditating about God\u2019s character and all the good things He has done can help us remember He has a plan. In all hard situations, ask God to help you take things one step at a time, standing on the firm foundation of His love.<\/p>\n<p><em>Nothing is beyond [God\u2019s] control. His sovereignty is absolute.<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"line\"><span class=\"text Hab-3-17\">Hab 3:17-19.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Though the fig tree may not blossom, <\/span><span class=\"text Hab-3-17\">Nor fruit be on the vines; <\/span><span class=\"text Hab-3-17\">Though the labor of the olive may fail, <\/span><span class=\"text Hab-3-17\">And the fields yield no food; <\/span><span class=\"text Hab-3-17\">Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, <\/span><span class=\"text Hab-3-17\">And there be no herd in the stalls<\/span><span id=\"en-NKJV-22787\" class=\"text Hab-3-18\"><sup class=\"versenum\">\u00a0<\/sup>Yet I will rejoice in the\u00a0<span class=\"small-caps\">Lord<\/span>, <\/span><span class=\"text Hab-3-18\">I will joy in the God of my salvation. <\/span><span id=\"en-NKJV-22788\" class=\"text Hab-3-19\"><sup class=\"versenum\">\u00a0<\/sup>The\u00a0<span class=\"small-caps\">Lord<\/span> God\u00a0is my strength;\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"text Hab-3-19\">He will make my feet like deer\u2019s\u00a0<i>feet, <\/i><\/span><span class=\"text Hab-3-19\">And He will make me walk on my high hills.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; O Lord, how long shall I cry, and You will not hear?
