In what way? Perhaps in their shamelessness\u2014their willingness to ask for what they want or need without feeling guilty or embarrassed.<\/p>\n<p>When Jesus taught His disciples about prayer, He used the example of a child who asked his father for bread, fish, or an egg (Matthew 7:9-11; Luke 11:11-13). He said that no child would expect to receive a stone, serpent, or scorpion instead! What father would treat a child that way? Jesus\u2019 point: If imperfect human fathers will grant their children\u2019s requests, how much more will a perfect Heavenly Father do the same for His children? The problem, Jesus said, is that we fail to ask, seek, and knock on heaven\u2019s door; we give up too soon. He wanted the disciples to learn not to give up when it came to prayer (Luke 18:1). The original language says we are to keep on asking, keep on seeking, and keep on knocking (Luke 11:9-10).<\/p>\n<p>Go boldly today to God\u2019s throne of grace.
