Psalms 69:1<\/b>\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0 Save me, O God! For the waters have come up to my neck.\u00a0 I sink in deep mire, where there is no foothold; I have come into deep waters, and the flood sweeps over me.\u00a0 \u00a0I am weary with my crying out; my throat is parched. My eyes grow dim with waiting for my God.\u00a0 O God, you know my folly; the wrongs I have done are not hidden from you.\u00a0Let not those who hope in you be put to shame through me, O Lord GOD of hosts; let not those who seek you be brought to dishonor through me, O God of Israel.\u00a0For it is for your sake that I have borne reproach, that dishonor has covered my face.<\/p>\n

Lamentations 3:54<\/b><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0water closed over my head; I said, \u2018I am lost.\u2019<\/p>\n

Psalms 69:14<\/b><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0Deliver me from sinking in the mire; let me be delivered from my enemies and from the deep waters.\u00a0\u00a0Let not the flood sweep over me, or the deep swallow me up, or the pit close its mouth over me.<\/p>\n

Jonah 2:3<\/b>\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0For you cast me into the deep, into the heart of the seas, and the flood surrounded me; all your waves and your billows passed over me.\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0Then I said, \u2018I am driven away from your sight; yet I shall again look upon your holy temple.\u2019\u00a0The waters closed in over me to take my life; the deep surrounded me; weeds were wrapped about my head\u00a0at the roots of the mountains. I went down to the land whose bars closed upon me forever; yet you brought up my life from the pit, O LORD my God.\u00a0When my life was fainting away, I remembered the LORD, and my prayer came to you, into your holy temple.<\/p>\n

Isaiah 43:2<\/b><\/a>\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.<\/p>\n

Can you hear the cry in David’s words. \u00a0The anguish and heart ache. \u00a0Yet in this notice his want to continually honor God. \u00a0“Let not those who hope in you be put to shame through me, O Lord GOD of hosts; let not those who seek you be brought to dishonor through me,<\/em>” \u00a0Through the trails he faced he did not want others to bare shame or dishonor because of him. \u00a0David trusted God with his whole heart, mind and soul. \u00a0It would have been easier to think only about himself. \u00a0 On this side of eternity we will face many things beyond our control and at the consequence of others actions. \u00a0We will also face things as a consequence of our own actions. \u00a0Coming to God, crying out to Him, is our hope, our refuge, our fortress, our power and strength to face what is before us. \u00a0We stand on His promises and we wait for His perfect purpose and timing. \u00a0Commit to spending time in His word for the purpose of knowing Him and how to humbly serve, honor, follow and obey Him.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
