Jesus had just healed two men, delivering them from demon possession and after this people of the region begged Him to leave. \u00a0Others, in scripture, reject knowledge of God and still others hold to evil and reject good. \u00a0 Why do people reject Him? \u00a0How many times do we reject His leading and purpose throughout the day?\u00a0Rejecting God and His purpose for our lives comes with many consequences, all of them bad. \u00a0However, for those who chose to humbly serve Him – they will find peace, love, joy, blessing,\u00a0hope, and security.<\/p>\n

\nAnd behold, all the city came out to meet Jesus, and when they saw him, they begged him to leave their region<\/strong><\/p>\n
\nFor he flatters himself in his own eyes
\nthat his iniquity cannot be found out and hated.
\nThe words of his mouth are trouble and deceit;
\nhe has ceased to act wisely and do good.
\nHe plots trouble while on his bed;
\nhe sets himself in a way that is not good;<\/strong>
\n he does not reject evil<\/strong><\/p>\n
\nMy people are destroyed for lack of knowledge;
\nbecause you have rejected knowledge<\/strong>,
\nI reject you from being a priest to me.
\nAnd since you have forgotten the law of your God,<\/strong>
\n I also will forget your children<\/strong><\/p>\n
\nBecause they hated knowledge<\/strong>
\nand did not choose the fear of the Lord,<\/strong>
\nwould have none of my counsel
\nand despised all my reproof,
\ntherefore they shall eat the fruit of their way,<\/strong>
\nand have their fill of their own devices<\/strong>.
\nFor the simple are killed by their turning away,
\nand the complacency of fools destroys them;
\nbut whoever listens to me will dwell secure<\/strong>
