\nMatthew 24:45\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cWho then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his master has set over his household, to give them their food at the proper time? Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes. Truly, I say to you, he will set him over all his possessions. But if that wicked servant says to himself, \u2018My master is delayed,\u2019 and begins to beat his fellow servants and eats and drinks with drunkards, the master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know and will cut him in pieces and put him with the hypocrites. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
The most dangerous lie is not \u201cThere is no God,\u201d not \u201cthere is no hell\u201d; but the most dangerous lie of Satan is \u201cthere is no hurry.\u201d It is no small thing to say \u201cJesus is not coming today or for several years,\u201d because your system of prophecy demands it. We need to be ready for the\u00a0imminent return<\/i> of Jesus Christ. Not doing the business of what God has for us to do will lead us to mistreat others and give in to the pleasures and vices of this world and what it has to offer.\u00a0 <\/span>What is pleasing to the eyes is not always good for the heart and soul. When our focus on serving Jesus is lost on things of this world we are not serving our master or going about His business.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
Being a hypocrite has consequences – its reward is a place of torment. Present pleasures of this world should never take us down paths away from honoring and glorifying Jesus Christ and we do well to examine our lives in light of this.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
