1 Corinthians 15:58\u00a0 <\/span>Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>2 Peter 3:14<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0Therefore, beloved, since you are waiting for these, be diligent to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>2 Peter 1:4-9<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.\u00a0\u00a0For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge,\u00a0\u00a0and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness,\u00a0\u00a0and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love.\u00a0\u00a0For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.\u00a0\u00a0For whoever lacks these qualities is so nearsighted that he is blind, having forgotten that he was cleansed from his former sins.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Psalms 78:8<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0and that they should not be like their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation, a generation whose heart was not steadfast, whose spirit was not faithful to God.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Philippians 1:9<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment,<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>1 Thessalonians 4:1<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0Finally, then, brothers, we ask and urge you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God, just as you are doing, that you do so more and more.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

What keeps us from being \u201cSteadfast\u201d, \u201cImmovable\u201d, and \u201cDiligent\u201d?\u00a0 <\/span>Has the definition of these words changed? Loyal, faithful, committed, devoted, dedicated, dependable, reliable, steady, true, constant, unwavering, unswerving, resolute, determined, adamant, firm, unshakeable, unfailing, unyielding, unbending, uncompromising, unrelenting, careful, thorough, constant, persevering, persistent, zealous, dedicated, committed, driven, active, tireless. The meaning of these words has not changed so it be in our application of God\u2019s Word in our lives.\u00a0 <\/span>If we are not in His Word there is little chance it will have influencing application.\u00a0 <\/span>If we allow ourselves to be consumed with what the world has to offer, how can we be steadfast, immovable, and diligent?\u00a0 <\/span>It takes work, commitment, and determination to be steadfast, remain immovable, and ever diligent in things of God.\u00a0 <\/span>Do not allow the allure of this word rob you of the grace, mercy, and blessings of God now and in heaven.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
