Romans 8:28\u00a0 <\/span>And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Genesis 50:20<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Jeremiah 24:6-7<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0I will set my eyes on them for good, and I will bring them back to this land. I will build them up, and not tear them down; I will plant them, and not pluck them up.\u00a0\u00a0I will give them a heart to know that I am the LORD, and they shall be my people and I will be their God, for they shall return to me with their whole heart.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>2 Corinthians 4:15-17<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0For it is all for your sake, so that as grace extends to more and more people it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God.\u00a0\u00a0So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.\u00a0\u00a0For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison,<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Psalms 46:1-2<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.\u00a0\u00a0Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea,<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Ephesians 3:11<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0This was according to the eternal purpose that he has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord,<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>2 Timothy 2:19<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0But God’s firm foundation stands, bearing this seal: \u201cThe Lord knows those who are his,\u201d and, \u201cLet everyone who names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

God\u2019s sovereignty and ability to manage every aspect of our lives is demonstrated in the fact that\u00a0all things work together for good to those who love God, though we must face\u00a0the sufferings of this present time<\/i>. God is able to make even those sufferings work together for our good and His good. God is able to work\u00a0all<\/i>\u00a0things, not some things. He works them for good\u00a0together, not in isolation. This promise is for those\u00a0who love God\u00a0in the Biblical understanding of love, and God manages the affairs of our life because we are\u00a0called according to His purpose.<\/p>\n

It is not hard to state, \u201cAll things work together for good\u201d when things are going well.\u00a0 <\/span>It is when we get side-swiped by something totally unexpected.\u00a0 <\/span>It comes in many forms, health, relationships, finances, accident, family, employment, etc\u2026\u00a0 <\/span>One day everything is going well and then BAM something hits us from out of the blue to seemingly mess up our lives.\u00a0 <\/span>It is hard to say \u201call things work together for good\u201d but even harder to believe it when we say it.\u00a0 <\/span>These trials or troubles will certainly test our faith, but should never take us to a place where we question God\u2019s love or purpose or will for our lives.\u00a0 <\/span>When trials\/troubles explode into our lives is when doubts, worry, anger, frustration, fear, and a host of other thoughts can overwhelm us. Faith is not, and should not be based solely on how \u201cGood\u201d things are.\u00a0 <\/span>This side of eternity will always have moments of trials\/troubles that will attack our faith and trust in the purposes and will of God.\u00a0 <\/span>It is in these moments that we fall on our knees and lay our burden at His feet.\u00a0 <\/span>It is in these hurts and uncertainties that we, by faith, trust in, rely on, and cling to Jesus Christ more deeply. It is ok to tell God about our fears, hurts, worries, frustrations that have overwhelmed us.\u00a0 <\/span>He already knows and will work all things together for good.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
