{"id":110922,"date":"2021-02-05T04:42:14","date_gmt":"2021-02-05T10:42:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.prayingpint.com\/?p=110922"},"modified":"2021-02-02T06:44:30","modified_gmt":"2021-02-02T12:44:30","slug":"19-i","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.prayingpint.com\/index.php\/2021\/02\/05\/19-i\/","title":{"rendered":"19.i.  &#8220;He did not weaken in faith&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote>\n<p class=\"p2\">Romans 4:12 but who also walk in the footsteps of the faith that our father Abraham had<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Romans 4:13<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>For the promise to Abraham and his offspring that he would be heir of the world did not come through the law but through the righteousness of faith.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Romans 4:16 That is why it depends on faith, in order that the promise may rest on grace and be guaranteed to all his offspring\u2014not only to the adherent of the law but also to the one who shares the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all, as it is written, \u201cI have made you the father of many nations\u201d\u2014in the presence of the God in whom he believed, who gives life to the dead and calls into existence the things that do not exist. In hope he believed against hope, that he should become the father of many nations, as he had been told, \u201cSo shall your offspring be.\u201d He did not weaken in faith when he considered his own body, which was as good as dead (since he was about a hundred years old), or when he considered the barrenness of Sarah&#8217;s womb. No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised. That is why his faith was \u201ccounted to him as righteousness.\u201d But the words \u201cit was counted to him\u201d were not written for his sake alone, but for ours also. It will be counted to us who believe in him who raised from the dead Jesus our Lord, who was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"p2\">Faith<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Footsteps of Faith<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Did not weaken in Faith<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Grew strong in his Fatih<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Righteousness of Faith<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><strong>Faith<\/strong> &#8211; Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen. Confidence, certainty, expectation, unwavering belief in what God has declared and proclaimed throughout His Word begins with surrender of self-reliance, self-confidence, self-worth, or any other form of belief in oneself counted as a means to be right with God and is the beginning of faith.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>There is no other way to being the walk of faith.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>It must start here.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><strong>Footsteps of faith<\/strong> &#8211; Jesus gave the parable of the seeds. \u201c\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/biblehub.com\/greek\/3588.htm\"><span class=\"s1\"><b><i>The seed<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/a><span class=\"s2\"><b><i>\u00a0<\/i><\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/biblehub.com\/greek\/4687.htm\"><span class=\"s1\"><b><i>sown<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/a><b><i>\u00a0<\/i><\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/biblehub.com\/greek\/1909.htm\"><span class=\"s1\"><b><i>on<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/a><b><i>\u00a0<\/i><\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/biblehub.com\/greek\/4075.htm\"><span class=\"s1\"><b><i>rocky ground<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/a><b><i>\u00a0<\/i><\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/biblehub.com\/greek\/1510.htm\"><span class=\"s1\"><b><i>is<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/a><b><i>\u00a0<\/i><\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/biblehub.com\/greek\/3588.htm\"><span class=\"s1\"><b><i>the one who<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/a><b><i>\u00a0<\/i><\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/biblehub.com\/greek\/191.htm\"><span class=\"s1\"><b><i>hears<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/a><b><i>\u00a0<\/i><\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/biblehub.com\/greek\/3588.htm\"><span class=\"s1\"><b><i>the<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/a><b><i>\u00a0<\/i><\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/biblehub.com\/greek\/3056.htm\"><span class=\"s1\"><b><i>word<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/a><b><i>\u00a0<\/i><\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/biblehub.com\/greek\/2532.htm\"><span class=\"s1\"><b><i>and<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/a><b><i>\u00a0<\/i><\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/biblehub.com\/greek\/2112.htm\"><span class=\"s1\"><b><i>at once<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/a><b><i>\u00a0<\/i><\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/biblehub.com\/greek\/2983.htm\"><span class=\"s1\"><b><i>receives<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/a><b><i>\u00a0<\/i><\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/biblehub.com\/greek\/846.htm\"><span class=\"s1\"><b><i>it<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/a><b><i>\u00a0<\/i><\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/biblehub.com\/greek\/3326.htm\"><span class=\"s1\"><b><i>with<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/a><b><i>\u00a0<\/i><\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/biblehub.com\/greek\/5479.htm\"><span class=\"s1\"><b><i>joy.<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/a><\/span><b><i> <\/i><\/b><span class=\"s2\"><b><i>But since he has no root, he remains for only a season.<\/i><\/b><\/span> If there is no steps taken in faith, there is no root.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Things of this world soon dry up the seed and it withers and dies.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><strong>Did not weaken in faith<\/strong> &#8211; When faith steps are immediately taken the root of hope and assurance grows deeper.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Faith weathers the storms of life that threaten it.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>It is by faith in God we are able to stand in chaos and confusion with the assurance that God is in control.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>He is our rock, refuge, mighty fortress.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><strong>Grew strong in faith<\/strong> &#8211; Steps of faith must be taken to gain strength.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Faith like muscles needs continual exercise to grow stronger.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Faith does not grow on its own.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Faith does not grow when we neglect or become complacent with God\u2019s Word. The root of faith grows when it is continually and abundantly watered with the Word of God.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Do not think for one second that a casual approach to your walk with God will in any way deepen your root of faith.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The heart, mind, and soul must have a deep desire and seek for the purpose of wanting to honor and glorify Jesus Christ every waking moment.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Without this desire and seeking there is barely enough watering to keep faith alive yet alone strengthen it.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><strong>Righteousness<\/strong> of Faith &#8211; Remember that\u00a0righteousness\u00a0is also more than the\u00a0<i>absence<\/i>\u00a0of evil and guilt. It means that God does not only declare us\u00a0<i>innocent<\/i>, but\u00a0<i>righteous. <\/i>Our sin is carried away as far as the east is from the west. We are washed clean.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Though we were covered crimson red with sin we are now white as snow.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cNo sinner, and try he ever so hard, can possibly carry his own sins away and come back cleansed of guilt. No amount of money, no science, no inventive skill, no armies of millions, nor any other earthly power can carry away from the sinner one little sin and its guilt.
