John 11:38\u00a0 <\/span>Then Jesus, deeply moved again, came to the tomb. It was a cave, and a stone lay against it. Jesus said, \u201cTake away the stone.\u201d Martha, the sister of the dead man, said to him, \u201cLord, by this time there will be an odor, for he has been dead four days.\u201d Jesus said to her, \u201cDid I not tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God?\u201d So they took away the stone. And Jesus lifted up his eyes and said, \u201cFather, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me, but I said this on account of the people standing around, that they may believe that you sent me.\u201d When he had said these things, he cried out with a loud voice, \u201cLazarus, come out.\u201d The man who had died came out, his hands and feet bound with linen strips, and his face wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, \u201cUnbind him, and let him go.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

It is hard to imagine the emotion of Mary and Martha.\u00a0 <\/span>For four days they have grieved the loss of their brother. For four days they had been waiting for Jesus.\u00a0 <\/span>They knew Jesus could have kept Lazarus from dying.\u00a0 <\/span>They had faith and hope and trust that He could save their brother.\u00a0 <\/span>He did not come immediately and Lazarus died.\u00a0 <\/span>Can\u2019t you hear them sending off people to get word to Jesus that Lazarus was sick and dying.\u00a0 <\/span>They knew Jesus would come.\u00a0 <\/span>Then He didn\u2019t and Lazarus died.\u00a0 <\/span>Mary and Martha had to of thought that if Jesus had only come when we sent word to Him, Lazarus would still be alive. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Do you ever wonder at the power of God?\u00a0 <\/span>What limits are there to His power?\u00a0 <\/span>There are no limits to His power.\u00a0 <\/span>He is all-powerful, all-knowing, and ever-present.\u00a0 <\/span>When our faith, trust, reliance, and hope are placed in His purpose and His plans we will have peace that passes all understanding and will see this gloriously work in our lives no matter what happens.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
