John 6:35\u00a0 <\/span>Jesus said to them, \u201cI am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst. But I said to you that you have seen me and yet do not believe. All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me. And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day. For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.\u201d<\/p>\n

John 6:48-58<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0I am the bread of life.\u00a0\u00a0Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died.\u00a0\u00a0This is the bread that comes down from heaven, so that one may eat of it and not die.\u00a0\u00a0I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.\u201d<\/p>\n

Isaiah 55:1-3<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0\u201cCome, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.\u00a0\u00a0Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in rich food.\u00a0\u00a0Incline your ear, and come to me; hear, that your soul may live; and I will make with you an everlasting covenant<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cI am the bread of life\u201d, \u201cwhoever comes to me I will never cast out\u201d, \u201cI am the living bread\u201d, Jesus is both living water and living bread.\u00a0 <\/span>In other words He will satisfy Christ and hunger of the soul of all who come to Him.\u00a0 <\/span>Spurgeon said, \u201c coming is a very simple action indeed; it seems to have only two things about it, one is, to come away from something, and the other is, to come to something.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>What are we to come away from? \u00a0 <\/span>Unbelief, worldliness, sinfulness, greed, pride, self-reliance, fear, worry, and self-satisfaction are all aspects of life we are to turn away from and repent of, and come to Jesus Christ.\u00a0 <\/span>I guess I see that the coming part seems easy for some, it is the staying that is hard for them.\u00a0 <\/span>They come but do not stay.\u00a0 <\/span>It is as if they don\u2019t like the taste of the Bread of Life and more.\u00a0 <\/span>Be mindful that there are many things in our culture that will pull you away from being a humble servant, honoring, glorifying, following, worshiping, and obeying Jesus Christ.\u00a0 <\/span>It does us well to keep a thirst and hunger for God\u2019s Word and the Holy Spirit\u2019s leading in our life.\u00a0 <\/span>Come and stay at the table and eat and drink God\u2019s Word each day.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
